This is my first Nissan of this type and after getting used to the seating position and using the engine on the tubo right it has been a good car. It is practical for my work and suitable for my family even though my 4 year old daughters legs struggle with the height when getting in. The mpg rate has gone up since I had it by 5 - 6 mpg which I am impressed with. I am disapointed with the number of cubby holes and the water jet resivor could have been bigger 2.5 Ltrs if no good in poor weather. Overall a good car but I feel it would be better with a bigger engine but maybe thats just me. Good job Nissan 4 out of 5 overal. Maybe I can have a 370Z next time though !!

My car has been almost everything I expected and has proved econcomical, practical and comfortable. The selectable 4 wheel drive has also been of great benefit. Any minor problems (rear dampers) have been quickly repaired under warranty and servicing costs have been reasonable from main dealer. Sound insulation could be improved - maybe facelift model answers this.

My car suits my needs as a disabled driver more than any other i have owned or leased in over 27yrs.
The only thing i have had to replace was a NSF tyre due to a puncture.
Simply put you can't beat owning a Nissan Qashqai Visia 2.0l CVT

I love my new car I was thinking of getting a higher wheel based car but nissan had not crossed my mind for they were very " plastic " inside and the interior looked " cheap "!
But whilst I was at the showroom for something else the dealer rep sugested I tried it on for size and assured me that the cheap interior had been addressed and was lovely now !
I was NOT DISSAPOINTED and decided afte a test drive that I MUST have one !!!r

This car has been totally outstanding, the quoted MPG is 36.6 avg, when on a run we easily achieve 45-50 mpg. 2.0dci auto superb.
When we had the heavy snow this car really came alive, it never got into difficulty and exceeded expectations.
Of course when we first purchased this car we did get a tremendous deal that did help in the purchase decision.

Brilliant car, it has surpassed all my expectations, i have previously owned 2 honda accords before this but the Qashqai +2 is by far a better vehicle, the interior trim isn't quite as upmarket as the honda but the overall package is much better, especially with the excellent finance deals the manufacturer was offering.

Only problem has been malfunctioning sensor unit for water in fuel filter fixed under warranty. Car's running costs are low, with ł30/year road tax and frugal mpg, though mpg is rather less than manufacturer's claimed mpg. can't comment on parts but dealer's fixed price servicing deal was good.

Not yet had 1st service but after 2000 miles absolutely no issues whatsoever. It has the latest 1.6dci engine and is one of the best in its class, low road tax and insurance- I havent yet managed to get the quoted 62mpg but around town and to work it is doing very well.

Needs the 6 speed gearbox as 5th is usable from around 31mph, so pretty revvy at motorway speeds, bootlid needs to go up higher so you don't hit your head, plastics are cheap and mark from the slightest touch. Reliability

KinyuKinr's Reliability ratings are based on our Driver Power survey of over 30,000 car owners. Ratings are the average for all owners of this car who responded. Individual owners’ ratings and comments appear below.

Now settling into its model cycle, the second-generation Nissan Qashqai does well overall, placing 46th in our owner survey, but is not without flaw. There are three thorns in its side: reliability, build quality and performance.

Owners are, generally, simply not satisfied with the quality of their Sunderland-built crossover, while the big-selling diesel engines are sluggish. Elsewhere the Qashqai fares much better, with especially comfortable ride quality, pleasing running costs and intuitive in-car technology. Drivers find the high-set hatchback easy to manoeuvre, too.

My car looked beautiful - it was top of the range and worth every penny until it developed an electrical fault within the first 4 months of me owning it, that imobilised it. This has happened 4 times in total and is still not fixed, with 2 wiring faults identified already from manufacture - I have absolutely no confidence in this car, bought for its reliability and practicality- I have 3 children and the customer care I have received from the dealer and from Nissan has been disappointing, certainly not what I expected.

Reliability: 1/5 Build Quality: 1/5 Practicality:

Despite the car being parked outside it starts first time every morning. the car has continually to run very well without any mechanical problems. Although the engine is relatively small for the car size this doesn't affect its performance. the eco friendly engine continues to give a very impressive fuel consumption. this combined with a free 3 year service package adds up to very cheap motoring.

Amazing car never had a car with such quality before, the build is fantastic inside and out and my god its worth every penny spent never took it to the garage to get repaired. Ł150/160 for 1000 miles not bad but if I go on motorway I get 800 miles to a tank around ł75 a fill from red thats from sunderland to poole and back on one tank you cant complain about that!all cars should be like this.

The mpg is excellent. two tanks of petrol per month as opposed to 4 - 5 when I owned a tt. tyre wear is good and the nexens I use can be sourced on the net for ł63 each. servicing costs are very reasonable.

Very pleased with the Qashqai. We have just outgrown it. Now have two teenage children who are both heading towards 6ft. Needs more legroom. Even the Qashqai + 2 does not have much more legroom and the same width.

Good value for money, stylish SUV looks. Good build quality for the price band. However, not impressed with the dealer at all.

No problems. Fuel costs are acceptable for a cvt but much lower than the official figure. all other costs included in lease.

A bit heavy on fuel but overall I really like the Qashqai and would seriously think about buying another one.

We have had no problems so far. Petrol economy not bad considering the size of car to engine capacity.
